We had such a wonderful turnout at our Technology Workshop on Thursday, February 23rd, 2017. We wanted to share with viewers everything that was covered.

Below are our guest speakers who spoke at our Technology Workshop, and we thank you all for such a great job. It was well received by all.

GUEST SPEAKERS

David Lewerenz, OD, Optometry, Low Vision Rehabilitation, Department of Ophthalmology – University of Colorado School of Medicine

Dr. Lewerenz specializes in low vision rehabilitation, which provides assistance for patients who have lost vision from an eye or brain condition or injury. This type of visual impairment cannot be corrected by conventional glasses, contact lenses, medicine or surgery. His goal, working together with trained occupational therapists and other community resources, is to provide strategies that make it possible for his patients to accomplish the tasks that are important to them, thereby allowing them to live as independently as possible.

Dr. Lewerenz joined us to go over technologies that he uses in his practice that will be helpful in the day-to-day living of those living with PCA.

Audrey Krebs, Assisted Living Administration, Community Relations, Program Management – Get Along Gadgets

Audrey Krebs is certified as a Senior Advisor. Audrey’s passion is serving older adults, having spent the last twenty years in service.
